Now is the tradition for families not to communicate with each other, but to log on social media websites and send messages over there. Therefore this is when the network’s going to be busiest. You can run a variety of tests such as an MTR, or simply ping test. You perhaps be evaluating ip transit telehouse east Do you find you have low pings and good traces? Test other hosts at the same time- who performs best?.
How quickly does the provider answer sales emails?
If a company takes an age to respond to a sales email, how quickly are they going to get back to you, and help you when say your network is down at 3 o clock in the morning, on Christmas Day? What if that happened? Emailing at various times of the day will show you how consistent their support is.
What does the IP host know?
Do some research on the transit provider, and test them. What sort of traffic are they pushing? Who are their upstream providers? What networking equipment do they utilise? Check the provider against other hosts. Find out why their setup is going to suit you best.
Have they a history of good network performance?
Here’s something you probably weren’t aware of. If you can’t find any bad reviews on them, its generally a good thing! There are hosting forums, such as WHC that offer a search area. You can search for iptransit on these forums. If that fails, there’s always Google! Failing that, you could give Google a try! Don’t be surprised if you don’t find any good reviews on the provider. Remember people generally only talk about a provider or service when it’s going wong. No reviews could mean the provider is doing a good job therefore! Should you find lots of bad reviews, it could mean one of two things. Firstly that the IP Transit host is not particularly good. However also bear in mind it could simply mean they have a lot of customers. The more customers a provider has, the more likely they are to have that small proportion or customers that will find the slightest fault – often when nothing is wrong. Remember that when reading reviews and selecting the IP transit host.
